Privacy Policy

How bychat collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated: May 23, 2026

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google or GitHub, the basic profile information that provider shares (name, email, and avatar). We also store the projects, prompts, and code you create using bychat.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the service: to authenticate you, build and run your projects, provide support, and send service-related notifications. We do not sell your personal data.

Sign-in with Google and GitHub

If you choose to sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider solely to create and identify your account. We request only the minimum scopes needed to sign you in and never post or act on your behalf. You can disconnect a provider at any time from your profile page.

Sharing

We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run bychat (such as our authentication, hosting, and payment processors), and only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information when required by law.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and projects within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to comply with legal obligations.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
